Her commitment to deliver the highest quality of care to her patients earned her multiple customer service excellence awards and was also honored as the employee of the year at Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton, TX. As a family nurse practitioner, her choice of practice encompasses a wide spectrum of services including but not limited to diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems, laboratory and diagnostic interpretations, health education, wellness promotion, and physical examinations of patients across the life span.
Her practice took a turn in a direction when she became increasingly interested in the concept of wellness. Elinda’s areas of interest include hormone balancing for men and women, weight management, aesthetics, as well as all facets of general primary care. Her passion is founded on building a professional relationship with each of her patients while providing treatment and education to assist them in achieving optimal health and wellness.
Hormone imbalance and weight issues can affect the daily lifestyle of men and women. Unbalanced levels of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone are important hormones that can cause various symptoms such as loss of energy or stamina, hot flashes, mood swings, decline in memory, decrease lean body mass, decline in libido, urinary symptoms, sleep disturbance and the like. Recognizing that every patient is unique, her philosophy focuses on treating the patient using a holistic approach.
Elinda is eager to listen to her patients’ concerns, perform blood tests, physical examinations, and prepare to lay out an effective, realistic treatment plan tailored to each individual patient’s health needs with the use of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, or other pharmacotherapeutics, and recommendations. She believes that a combination of traditional and integrative practices is crucial for disease prevention and good health. Incorporating therapeutic life style changes with diet modification, exercise, stress reduction/relaxation, adequate rest/ sleep and in most cases a hormone balance, is the key to a well balanced life.
