ED is commonly seen in men who have Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, High Blood Cholesterol, and Cardiac diseases. ED is also common in men who smoke or have poor overall circulation. There are also over 200 prescription medications that can potentially cause, contribute to, or aggravate ED. ED can even cause or worsen psychological problems such as poor motivation, feelings of inadequacy, frustration, denial, and low self-esteem. It can also lead to depression and/or have a negative impact on personal, family and business relationships if left untreated. ED is best treated promptly to prevent further deterioration and progressive loss of function.
